What is Bootcamp?

The teaching team has put together a tailored program of stimulating workshops and exercises to help each participant complete the creative exercise required to apply to Piktura.

In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, this event is an opportunity to meet teachers and supervisors, while immersing yourself in the premises and the world of our students.

 

 

Who is it for?

Open to everyone, whether you are in high school or even a post-baccalaureate student.

 

How many places are available?

20 places in illustration

20 places in video games

20 places in 2D & 3D animation

 

The price :

€500.00 all-inclusive (equipment, meals, visits, etc.) payable in two installments of €250.00 (January-February) or a single payment of €500.00.

This amount includes: lunch, dinner at a restaurant (on Thursday), equipment, software, and supervision by teachers.

DAY 01: INTRODUCTION TO ANIMATION

Presentation of 2D and 3D animation film courses.

Film screenings and case studies with discussions.

Designing a film: the idea, the concept, the challenges, the pitch, the synopsis.

Academic drawing workshop: what is a sketch?

 

DAY 02: FOCUS ON CREATING THE STORYBOARD

Storyboard workshop: pre-cutting a 1'30" sequence.

Based on careful listening to a soundtrack, pre-cut a storyboard.

Character design workshop: The animated film character.

Creation of a board of expressions and a board of attitudes, based on two models provided by Piktura.

 

DAY 03: INTRODUCTION TO ANIMATION

Introduction to 2D and 3D animation (depending on your choice)

Using the character assets provided, create simple animations based on the pre-cut.

 

DAY 04: INTRODUCTION TO ANIMATION

Introduction to 2D and 3D animation (depending on your choice)

Using the character assets provided, create simple animations based on the pre-cut.

Festive dinner party

 

DAY 05: FINALIZING THE ANIMATION

DAY 1: PRESENTATION AND SETTING UP YOUR PERSONAL PROJECT

Introduction to the world of illustration, presentation of the program, discussion with our students.

Character design/set design workshop: creation of a personal research notebook.

Feedback to help you develop your own style.

 

DAY 2: GRAPHIC DESIGN OF THE PROJECT

Mixed media coloring workshop: use of colors and their influence on the image.

Traditional dry media drawing workshop

 

DAY 3: FOCUS ON NARRATIVE IMAGES

Illustration workshop: creating an image to accompany text (use of typography codes)

Illustration and typography: lettering integrated into an image

Portfolio review

 

DAY 4: FINALIZING THE NOTEBOOK
