William, a journalist from a small Californian town, has to do an article on the new senator. In the course of his research, he discovers strange cases of illegal animal experiments involving a high-ranking army officer and a pharmaceutical research laboratory. Curious to find out more, he finds himself stranded on an island lost in the middle of the Pacific, in the atoll of Palmyra, where strange creatures seem to be living...
